{"id":6618,"date":"2023-03-08T14:31:25","date_gmt":"2023-03-08T03:31:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.belmontgolf.com.au\/cms\/?p=6618"},"modified":"2023-06-20T15:28:13","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T05:28:13","slug":"club-newsletter-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.belmontgolf.com.au\/cms\/2023\/03\/08\/club-newsletter-2\/","title":{"rendered":"CLUB NEWSLETTER"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"fall-back text-left\">Welcome to our Autumn Newsletter, the club is trading well recording solid profits for each of the last four months thanks to good weather, dedicated staff across the board and member&#8217;s support.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Membership numbers are strong:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Male membership is up 7.27% from the 2022 subscription numbers putting us back on par with 2020 &amp; 2021 numbers.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Female membership is up slightly 2.04% from the 2022 subscription numbers with only 2021 membership numbers stronger than 2022\/23. The 4 Grade have a win and a loss after 2 rounds, and the 6 Grade with 2 masterboard draws after a total of 63 ends. Our 1 Grade kicks off on the 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0of April at home to Charlestown and will play 4 double header weekends.<\/p>\n<p>Our District Senior 4&#8217;s side of Grant Seal, Robert Pinfold, Bill Wiltshire and John Gregory will be looking to gain our first male district title in quite a long time when they play the final on Sunday the 12<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of March 10am at Soldiers Point. I will be driving the club bus to take supporters up to watch the boys and the Men&#8217;s Bowls committee has also hired a 19 seater, We have had a great response with the 19 seater already filled and seats going fast.<\/p>\n<p><b>Date to Remember &#8211; 15<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of April &#8211;\u00a0<\/b>we are lucky enough for our 1 Grade to have the opportunity to watch\u00a0<b>Australia&#8217;s Number 1 player Aaron Sheriff\u00a0\u00a0<\/b>who will be<b>\u00a0<\/b>coming to play at our club during the 1 Grade Pennants. As a result, there will be random bag, buggy, and cart checks to ensure members respect the club&#8217;s policy and licensing laws and\u00a0<b>DO NOT<\/b>\u00a0bring alcohol onto the site or it\u00a0<b>WILL BE<\/b>\u00a0confiscated. They are currently undertaking Part A &#8211; Site Viability to assess the developable area and verify the viability of potential site usages. This stage is expected to take approximately 3 months.<\/p>\n<div class=\"edit\">\n<p>The Board wishes to advise all members that there is no agreement between the Board and Pariter for anything other than for them to carry out this Due Diligence process. Contrary to certain rumours that have surfaced recently, there is no agreement for any specific development or any other proposal. It will not be known by either party as to whether there may be a viable project until after the Due Diligence has been completed. If the project is deemed viable, a Concept Master Plan will be developed and will be put to members for approval before any agreements or contracts are signed by the Board.<\/p>\n<p>The next Member Information Night is expected to be in April when members can hear the results to date and raise any questions or concerns they may have. Members will be informed once a date is confirmed.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<h2 class=\"fall-back\">Driving Range Update\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p class=\"fall-back text-left\">We have prioritised the installation of new poles and netting on the driving range to protect both the bowling complex and the carpark.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"fall-back text-left\">Unfortunately, the wire on the large net that protected the front of the southern green snapped in the center and split the net in half.<\/p>\n<p class=\"fall-back text-left\">Two new nets will be installed allowing for the removal of most if not all of the poles and netting that currently exist on the eastern side to improve both safety and aesthetics.
